Dave Oglesby Changes The Conversation With Video Clients, And Now He’s Scaling His Business
Dave was working as a freelance video creator, working gig to gig with whatever businesses needed video production. Unfortunately, Dave felt that he lacked control over his business because he was relying on referrals and clients to come looking for him. Now that he is in the Next Level Creators program Dave has been able to change the conversation he is having with potential clients, offering commercial campaigns that produce recurring monthly income for his business and value for those he is working with. Now he is looking to scale his team thanks to the new system he has learned.
Running my business before being introduced to the next level creators program was a little difficult. Being a freelancer, you're always looking for the next Gig, right? You're only as good as your last Gig, so it's very gig to Gig. You hope to find that client that can feed you continuous work, but you just never know. It's hard to know what to look for in a client. You don't really shop around for your clients necessarily. You hope the clients shop for you and then you hope they just find you through word of mouth or referrals. Uh, but it can be a little frustrating because you never really know. There's no predictability. There's no way to know for sure that you're going to get that call, that you're going to get that email, that you know the next Gig is going to come. One day I was scrolling through Facebook and an advertisement popped up that said Pollock, Xavier, and I forget exactly the messaging, something that the lines of, if you're a struggling filmmaker, you know, and you're living Gig to Gig. There's a better way. Something along those lines and I just remember it really, it hit a nerve inside of me and I actually click the add, you know, I thought, what have I got to lose at this point? Going through the next level creators program has been awesome. It's a little overwhelming at first. There's just so much information when you first log in, you're like, Whoa, uh, this seems like a lot of information. So right off the bat I felt like I had gotten my money's worth. It's just going to help me run a more successful business. I'm going to be able to grow it, add to my team. Currently it's just myself, but my goals for the next one to two years, I want to increase my team to have three to five people working with me to partner so we can just kill it for our clients. We can bring that value and just really add to the market and put a name out there for us. Working with Paul and the team has been awesome. Uh, they're very encouraging, number one. Number two, highly supportive. Any question you have, anything they are on it. Uh, they get you feedback almost immediately. I mean less than 24 hours, but usually within a couple hours. Uh, there's the Facebook community aspect, which is awesome. That's a huge plus. Anytime you have questions, concerns, needs, anything like that, you know, you can go log on to the Facebook community group and you will get an answer fairly quickly. It's been great for me. I've had several questions actually that I never even had to ask. I was able to go into that community and just find the answer to my question. I highly recommend the next level, create a program. Uh, if you are that struggling filmmaker, you know, creative who deals with video, trying to just find the next gig. This really is a great program to break down. Specifically action steps, what you need to do. All right. You know, step one, do this step to go do this. Once you go debt, once you go through that program you are going to succeed. If you work the program, the program works. There's no doubt about it. It's great. It's really fun getting to see the testimonials, all the success that some of the peers on the community have. It's great. You know, you get to celebrate in those wins with them, and I'm looking forward to more wins.
